A disaster-resistant, comfortable, functional, and long-lasting hospital
Under the theme of a comfortable and functional care environment, a plan was made to enrich the space for care by making the most of Yokohama Port’s canal scenery to improve the environment, adopting multi-bedded rooms that give the impression of private rooms, and other factors. In order to build a “hospital that lasts for 100 years,” ISS (ideal solidus structure) floors were also adopted in consideration of enhanced durability, long service life, etc. As measures against disasters, major functions (related to energy and medical care) were placed on the ground floor in consideration of floods, a seismic isolation structure was adopted, and a heliport set up to enable the transport of patients to the operating room floor without having to change elevators.
